AASA 2015 Membership Open

We are pleased to announce that the 2015 membership forms are now available on our website.

AASA Membership is open to any person or institution with a professional or scholarly interest in Arab American studies. We encourage interdisciplinary and transnational approaches to scholarship as well as more traditional areas of academic enquiry. Membership dues submitted now will be applied toward the 2015 January-December membership year.

Membership Categories are as follows:

•    Regular Membership ($50/year): for a person with a professional or scholarly interest in Arab American studies

•    Student Membership ($20/year): for a student currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education

•    Institutional Membership ($500/year): for an educational or scholarly institution such as a library or a museum

A robust membership allows our association to hold board meetings at the annual conference of the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) and to sponsor three panels related to the study of Arab Americans at each MESA conference. Membership contributions also help us organize tri-annual AASA conferences such as the successful inaugural conference in April 2014 at the Arab American National Museum, and helps AASA initiate new projects. Among others, these projects include an upcoming blog or newsletter, expanding outreach in both academic and general public arenas, increasing visibility for new publications and research topics in Arab American studies, and maintaining an active presence on the web and social media.

To join, simply click on the AASA membership link on this website.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of AASA! Your continued support and participation in AASA is crucial to its success.
