Job Summary
The English Discipline, part of the Department of Literature, Philosophy, and the Arts at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, is seeking a Lecturer III to teach six courses per academic year, including advanced creative writing, advanced exposition, and lower division and survey courses in British and American Literature. The position will also involve service activities and some committee work.
The position is for Fall 2016- Winter 2018, but future teaching assignments may be available consistent with the LEO collective bargaining agreement and departmental need.
This position is subject to the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturer’s Employee Organization (LEO) AFT/MFT and SRP Local 6244, AFL-CIO.
Required Qualifications*
Experience teaching creative writing and literature at the college level is required.
Desired Qualifications*
Ph.D. in English or M.F.A. in creative writing is preferred.
