Are you making plans to attend the American Studies Association 2019 Annual Meeting in Honolulu? Are you part of a session that contributes to the field of Arab American Studies? The Board is soliciting proposals from you, our members, to have your session sponsored. As an organization affiliated with the ASA, the AASA can sponsor up to three sessions at the Annual Meeting.
If you are interested in having your session considered for AASA sponsorship, please send me a brief proposal to circulate to the Board by January 25. Please include a general description of the session, a list of participants, and a brief description of how the session interfaces with Arab American Studies. We’ll review your proposal promptly and get back to you in advance of ASA’s deadline.
