Khadeja Najjar at Cleveland State University is conducting a psychology study on Arab Americans and emotion regulation:
My name is Khadeja and I’m an honors student at Cleveland State University. For my senior project, I am working on a research study about culture and emotion regulation in Arabs and Arab Americans. With this study, the goal is to better understand the role that culture plays in the way that people respond when they feel upset, and how these responses are related to their mood. I hope for the Culture and Emotion Regulation Study to be the start of a line of research that will allow for Psychologists, therapists, religious leaders, etc., to truly understand and most effectively assist Arab Americans.
