The AASA Board of Directors is seeking new energy, inspiration, and leadership from you! Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague for one of the following positions:
President-Elect (4 year commitment; 1 year as President-Elect, 2 years as President, 1 year as Past-President)
Secretary (2 year commitment)
Member at large (2 year commitment)
Service on the AASA Board will help you grow personally and professionally, develop skills, gain unique experiences, and expand your professional networks.
Help lead AASA into the future by nominating a colleague or by sending a self nomination. If you have someone in mind for the board, please check with them to make sure they are a current member and are willing and able to serve. Nominees will be asked to provide a brief bio, CV, and a vision statement about the AASA. Candidates should also indicate the position for which they would like to run.
Call for nominations will end September 10, 2108, with the slate identified and presented on September 14, 2018.
Voting will be open from September 14-28, 2018. Members will take office immediately following the Middle East Studies Association annual conference, which will take place in San Antonio, TX from November 15-18. Newly elected members are encouraged, but not required, to attend MESA 2018.
