The Moise Khayrallah Lebanese Diaspora Studies Prize recognizes outstanding scholarly studies from any discipline focusing on Lebanese migration and diasporas. Two prizes are given annually. The first prize, in the amount of $1000, is awarded to an established scholar. The second prize, in the amount of $500, is awarded to a graduate student.
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2015 Prize.
- Established Scholars: Articles published between June 1, 2014 and May 30, 2015 are eligible for consideration for the 2015 prize and may be submitted by the author or the publisher of a journal, anthology, or volume containing independent essays. A committee of Lebanese Migration scholars, representing diverse disciplines, will select the winning article.
- Graduate Students: Papers authored between June 1, 2014 and May 30, 2015 are eligible for consideration for the 2015 prize and may be submitted by the author. A committee of Lebanese Migration scholars, representing diverse disciplines, will select the winning paper. The paper will be subsequently published in the Mashriq & Mahjar: Journal of Middle East Migration Studies.

Applicants must verify date of actual publication for eligibility. ONE entry per scholar or publisher is allowed annually. Essays written in part or in whole in a language other than English must be accompanied by English translations.
Deadline for submission is September 30, 2015. Winners of the award will be announced at the award ceremony of the Middle East Studies Association annual meeting.
