Program Features
- Intensive, five-day per week Arabic program through AUC’s Department of
Arabic Language Instruction - Flexible schedule that includes visits to touristic sites in Egypt
- Lectures and presentations about history, culture and politics in Egypt
- Introduction to Egyptian cuisine, art, music and cultural events
- Experiential field visits and activities to enhance Arabic language exposure
Accommodation - Program participants stay in the University Residences at AUC New Cairo
- All meals included
Prerequisites
- Minimum completion of sophomore year of high school
- At least 16 years of age
- A minimum score of 155 on the PSAT and grade point average of 3.5
- Two letters of recommendation from high school teachers attesting that the applicant has
the maturity needed to join this international program
Fees
- $9,000 for three credits, including cultural/educational trips, accommodation, non-refundable registration fees, visa and health insurance
